Introduction to Speedflying

Gavin Patnode is a local speedflyer who organises speedflying trips for experienced flyers during Adventure Boogie. He knows the area very well and will choose locations based on the conditions of the day. Gavin is not an instructor. He will only take independent speedflyers with enough experience, give information about the spots and organise logistics. He does not take any responsibility for your flying.

Gavin has one car and we will try to carpool with a second car for easy shuttle. If a location is far away, we’ll ask everyone to chip in a bit for gas.

We don’t have speedflying gear for rent but we do have some demo wings and harnesses available and for sale.

For beginners we offer an introduction day with some theory, ground handling and take off / landing practice. This is the perfect first step for those who are interested to learn about the sport. We don’t offer a full course for beginners during Adventure Boogie because there are no real beginner friendly speedflying spots around Bovec.
